IB MYP stands for International Baccalaureate Middle Years Programme. It is a five year course, for students aged 11 to 16. The purpose of MYP is to prepare students for the 2 year IB Diploma Programme (IBDP).

Interdisciplinary unit
Each year, students are required to engage in at least one collaboratively planned interdisciplinary unit. This involves at least two subject groups.
The purpose of interdisciplinary learning is to allow students to understand bodies of knowledge from two or more subject groups to integrate them and create new understanding.
This helps to foster critical thinking in students, as well as maximising their ability to understand complex issues.
Long-term project
For students that complete their MYP in year 3 or 4 they will take on the community project whereas for students that complete their MYP in year 5, will complete the personal project.

The project will allow the students to go through these:
Learn, identify and discover.
Create, plan and record the development of the project.
Decision-making, develop understanding and communication skills.
A project from start to finish, from identifying the problem to solving and finding a solution to the problem.
